And now dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Fixing our thoughts! Much easier said than done. It’s crazy how we can go weeks and weeks, never taking pause on the thoughts that are racing through our minds.

We are called to take our thoughts captive.(2 Corinthians 10:5) To filter thoughts that come into our minds. It’s one thing for a thought to come into our mind, but it’s when we roomanatie on that negative thought that gets us in trouble.

For years I struggled with sexual immorality, lust, and porn. What was the root of acting out? It was my thought life. I would think about these sinful thoughts day after day after day, and then I would act out on those thoughts.

I was fixing my thoughts on evil, and the fruit it was producing was death and destruction.
