2 Corinthians 1: 3–4 NLT

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

No one likes to suffer….

It sucks. You feel alone, isolated, and hopeless. When we suffer we go through our days in a fog. Just going through the motions aimlessly.

I get it…Life wears us downs, and the energy we once had is sapped from our bodies.

Why Lord? We cry out! Why?

This has become an all too familiar place for me.

Has it for you?

Always trying to move forward but being held back by your past, insecurities, emotions, etc.

The very thing I know I should do…

Run to my perfect heavenly Father, instead I try to hide, and avoid. It reminds me of Paul’s words in Romans 7:15

I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate.”

However, the times I do run to Jesus are the times I am comforted. I come to Him not out of obligation but out of surrender. My hands lifted high I come to Him, on my knees I come to Him.

He comforts me in the midst of my pain, sorrow, and suffering. He comforts me.

That is a promise. When we come to God He will comfort us!

How beautiful is this truth, that when we’re comforted we then may also comfort others who are going through difficult times!

That’s the body of Christ working together!

I hope you have been encouraged!

I also have a video I made on this verse as well! Feel free to watch below on YouTube!
